Mustang Kelsey Veltman (14) goes up for a spike during OUA women's volleyball action on Oct. 24 vs Windsor.

Every week the Purple Pipe Podcast dedicates time to Mustang athletics. We talk to the athletes and coaches who matter most.

Episode 15 features Katie McKenna and Kelsey Veltman from the women’s volleyball team, who have wrapped up the first half of their season with an impressive 7–2 record.

Host Nathan Kanter is joined by sports editor Shane Roberts as the four discuss the team's impressive run last year, why the team is off to a hot start, what it's like to play for Melissa Bartlett, why each of the guests came to Western and potential opportunities down the road after university.

The guests start off with two truths and a lie, where Kelsey reveals she doesn't play volleyball with her dominant hand and Katie reveals her first name isn't actually Katie.

In Rapid Fire, both contestants finish with incredible times, but only one breaks the all-time record.
