Accident 1

The Western Road and Sarnia Road intersection on Sept. 9 around 9 p.m.

Western Road and Sarnia Road are closed up until Platt's Lane after a car accident occurred tonight at approximately 8 p.m. 

According to London Police Service's media release, a two-vehicle collision caused one of the cars to mount the curb, striking two pedestrians. 

Both pedestrians were transported to the hospital in critical condition. 

The intersection remains closed for an undecided amount of time. 

The identities of the victims are still unknown, and police are asking the public to avoid the area at this time.

Update (10:58 p.m.): The intersection has reopened and regular traffic has resumed. 

Update (12:55 a.m., Sept. 10, 2017): The University Students' Council reports both pedestrians are in non-critical condition.
