Women's Volleyball

The Mustangs women's volleyball team defeated the University of Toronto Varsity Blues in five sets on Friday night in Toronto.

The win snapped the Blues 45-game winning streak, and booked the Mustangs a berth in the OUA gold medal game and a ticket to the national championship. 

The Mustangs claimed the first set 25-20, while the Blues tied the match with a 25-17 second set victory. The match went back in forth, with the Mustangs taking the third set 25-22, and the Blues forcing a fifth set with a 25-20 fourth set. The Mustangs ultimately claimed the match by a score of 16-14 in the final set. 

The Mustangs will play the winner of the second semifinal, which has the Ryerson Rams taking on the McMaster Marauders. The gold medal game will be played in Toronto at 8 p.m. on Sunday night.
